PCS Kakapo Class Blog 2020

Kakapo love to inquire about new things and work together to solve problems. We really enjoy authentic learning and choosing what we learn about. Our class shows mercy and gives service by taking on many roles of responsibility, which helps to prepare us to be leaders in our school whanau. We love sports, being creative and getting hands on both in and out of the classroom. Our prayers are filled with aroha and we strive to live our school values. Whakarongo ki te tangi a te manu Kakapo!

Lick, Lick, YUCK, YUCK!!

Today for Mahi Tahi the task was to collaborate and communicate .... while being blindfolded and tasting foods! The person blindfolded had to taste the food and describe what it was to their buddy.
There were some interesting faces with some of the foods!
There was lime juice, golden syrup, baking soda, chilli sauce, icing sugar, rice bubbles, marmite, caper, salt, mustard and cocoa powder.

Everyone had a turn at tasting and describing. The children were pushed outside of their comfort zone!

What would you have liked to have tasted??

Malo e lei lei Tui Class,
There were a lot of ewww's and yums when we read this. We would have liked to have tried the golden syrup. Some of us wouldn't have liked the chilli sauce and others wouldn't like the mustard. What was your favourite one and yuckiest one to taste?
